Honey Bee Nuc & Live Bee Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of live bees, nucleus colonies (“nucs”), and queens from Tiger Mountain Bees (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing live bees, whether online, by phone, email, or in person, you agree to the following policies and limitations:

1. Nature of Live Bees

Honey bees are live livestock and are subject to factors beyond our control, including weather, environment, pests, disease, and transportation conditions.
Accordingly:
 •    Colony strength, temperament, honey yield, or survival are not guaranteed.
 •    Variation among nucs or queens is normal and expected.
 •    Customer outcomes depend on management practices and local conditions.

2. Orders, Payment & Cancellations

 •    Full payment is required at the time of order unless otherwise stated.
 •    Orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
 •    A 10% cancellation fee applies to any order canceled after placement.
 •    Tiger Mountain Bees reserves the right to modify or refuse orders.

 

3. Availability & Pickup Dates

Live bees are seasonal products. Estimated pickup dates depend on weather and colony development.
 •    Changes or delays in pickup dates do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
 •    Customers are responsible for monitoring and responding to pick up notifications.

 

4. Pickup Policy & No-Shows

 •    Nucs and queens are pickup-only unless otherwise stated.
 •    Customers must pick up their bees on the scheduled date and time.
 •    If you cannot make your scheduled pickup, you must notify Tiger Mountain Bees prior to the pickup date to arrange alternatives.
 •    No refunds will be issued for bees not picked up.
 •    Nucs not collected may be offered to customers on our waiting list.

5. Transfer of Risk & Responsibility

Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer at the time of pickup.
Tiger Mountain Bees guarantees that all live bees are healthy and strong at pickup. After pickup, all responsibility transfers to the buyer.

6. No Guarantee After Pickup

Because hive success depends heavily on beekeeping management and environmental factors, Tiger Mountain Bees does not guarantee:
 •    Continued survival of bees after pickup
 •    Queen performance or requeening success
 •    Colony temperament or honey production

By ordering, you agree not to hold Tiger Mountain Bees liable for losses occurring after pickup.

 

7. Quality Guarantee at Pickup

At pickup, we stand by a Highest Quality Guarantee:
 •    If you are unsatisfied with your nuc or bees at pickup, you may refuse them and receive a full refund.
 •    Refunds will only be issued at pickup time.
 •    Once bees leave our possession, all sales are final.

8. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers agree to:
 •    Have suitable hive equipment ready prior to pickup
 •    Transport bees safely and legally
 •    Comply with all local, state, and federal beekeeping regulations
 •    Provide suitable management, feeding, and pest control

 

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tiger Mountain Bees is not liable for losses including (but not limited to):
 •    Loss of bees, brood, queens, or hives
 •    Production losses (e.g., honey yield)
 •    Equipment damage or other indirect costs

By placing an order with Tiger Mountain Bees, the buyer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Honey Bee Nuc & Live Bee Terms and Conditions in full.
